ning the 60 hurdles, long jump and triple
jump in the league meet and the hurdles
and triple jump. She also took second in
the long jump at the NYSCTC meet. She
was named the NCAA Atlantic Region
Field Athlete of the Year for the indoor
season and went on to finish third in the
NCAAs in the triple jump indoors.
She repeated as Liberty League and
NYSCTC Outstanding Field Athlete
award winner outdoors, winning the
100 hurdles and sweeping the long
and triple jump titles, and was again
Atlantic Region Field Athlete of the
Year for the outdoor season. She set
St. Lawrence records in both the long
jump at 5.91 meters and triple jump
with her NCAA mark.
All this when she was just a junior.
played a flair for the dramatic and some
mental resiliency in the NCAAs, taking
the early lead but slipping into second on
the second jump of the three-jump finals.
Then, jumping last as the preliminaries
leader, she flew 12.47 meters to capture
the title. It was her second All-America
finish of the championships, after finish-
ing fourth in the long jump. She was
named the Outstanding Field Performer
of the 2014 championship, the first such
distinction for a Saints athlete.
The triple jump title was the crowning
glory of a spectacular season, which be-
gan in December with the start of indoor
competition. Divya was the Outstanding
Field Athlete in both the Liberty League
and New York State Collegiate Track
Conference indoor championships, win-

dramatic fashion.
