I had a very enjoyable summer spending time with
my new grandson, Jerry. My daughter Chrissie and
her husband, James Webler ’00, welcomed Jerry
into their family in late April. They live in Mama-
roneck, N.Y., and I know I’ll be making many trips
down there. While daughter Laurie Besanceney
Magee ’02 and I were there in April, we spent a
very enjoyable evening in the new home of Ed ’02
and Emily Hunt Forbes ’04 in Mount Kisco, N.Y.
In August, my husband and I spent a weekend in
Cooperstown, N.Y., with Jerry and his parents. We
stayed at “2 Chestnut Bed and Breakfast,” owned
by
Douglas Walker
. This comfortable estab-
lishment is right in the village, only a short walk

us a special “hurricane rate” and we were dry and
comfortable while the storm raged outside.
I didn’t receive any news from classmates. Please
send me any news of retirements, vacations, new
hobbies, reunions with classmates, etc., when you
have time this winter.

In last fall’s online report, I mentioned a letter from
Preston Smith
, who wrote to honor the mem-
ory of his lifelong friend
George Lewis
. I’m

so many of you have said you missed it.
Paul Patrick
wrote last summer to direct
me to a music video his youngest son, Steven,
produced with his band (Glory Days Music Video
WithYou). It was fun watching this band of young
twentysomethings and the song passed the “Molly
Test.” Apparently, these guys have been together
for some time, having grown up in New Jersey and
rehearsed at Paul’s house, “since bands apparently
always practice at the drummer’s house,” said Paul.
“Had Eileen and I known that, Steve would be
playing guitar.”
Jack Geortner
, also a drummer,
got the chance to view it and made some positive
comments for Paul to pass on to his son.
Both Paul and Jack (Miner Street Band) plan on
being at our 40th Reunion in late May.
Neal Burdick
and Barbara M’87 had a won-
derful visit with their 18-month-old grandson last
August. Their son and family travelled from Seattle
to the North Country for a week. Neal thought
it was a nice reversal, as they are usually the ones
making the long cross-country trip. And yes, Neal
does love being a grandfather!
Plans are already taking shape for our 40th
Reunion. Be prepared for a “Save the Date May
31-June 3” magnet, a survey asking for activity
suggestions, and other opportunities to partici-
pate.
Mike Keenan
says, “Let’s make this the
very best reunion SLU has ever seen.We can put
the event over the top! We enjoyed the very best
times! It means a lot to be a part of what was so
important to my life.” Well said.
