Sarah Primeau
also received her master’s de-
gree in May: an MSW from Boston University. She
is now working on her Master’s in Public Health as
part of her dual degree program.“I am also work-
ing full-time doing research at Boston Medical
Center in theWomen’s Health Unit,” she said. She
lives in Boston and loves it!
Susan Wyatt
is about to embark on a similar
master’s program after spending four years with
Target Headquarters in Minneapolis. “I’ve decided
to follow my passion and am studying at the Uni-
versity of Minnesota to complete my MPH with a
concentration in maternal and child health,” she
wrote. “It’s definitely a big change but I am so ex-
cited to be on my way to a career where I will
have the opportunity to make a difference. The
one thing that’s not so exciting is the graduate
school debt, but it comes with the territory and
will definitely be worth it!”
After working at Meredith Village Savings Bank
in New Hampshire for under a year,
Tiffany
Illsley Peña
was promoted to public relations
representative in the marketing department at the
bank. She and her family are enjoying all of life’s
blessings in Gilford, N.H. Congrats,Tiffany!
I also heard from
Christian Rohrs
, who had
completed his first year as an adjunct instructor of
literature and composition at Fulton-Montgomery
Community College. Over the summer, he taught
a section of literature while also working as a per-
manent substitute teacher of English as a second
language. By the time this hits your mailbox, he
will have completed his New York State adminis-
trative certificate, he will be living in Delmar, N.Y.,
and he will be teaching composition at FMCC. He
is also in hot pursuit of other teaching positions
in the area.
Thank you to those who keep me up to date
on your happenings! I send out a reminder e-mail
to our class every time Class Notes come due,
so if you are not receiving those e-mails, you can
contact me at megan.bernier@gmail.com to get
added to the list, or reach out to me on Facebook.
I look forward to hearing from you throughout
the next several months and maybe I’ll see you at
Homecoming!

Hello SLU 2009! It is hard to believe that it has
been two years since graduation…. I hope you all
are doing well!
Kristen Bednar
, our previous class notes re-
porter, has passed the gig to me. She graduated
from business school in the spring. Congratula-
tions, Kristen!
I have been living and working in Boston since
graduation. We have quite the SLU population
here; I see many Laurentians on a regular basis!
Stephanie Resavage
recently moved to Bos-
ton after living in Stamford, Conn. Stephanie is
working at an advertising agency on Newbury St.
called Small Army.
Meanwhile,
Sam Lovell
relocated from Bos-
ton to NYC over the summer, to teach second
grade at a charter school in Harlem. She had just
graduated from graduate school at Lesley Univer-
sity, where she received her master’s degree in el-
ementary education.
My good friend
A.J. Jensen
is living in Philadel-
phia, Pa., and is working as a project manager for
Cooper’s Ferry Partnership, an economic devel-
opment firm in Camden, N.J. She has also joined
Philly Kappas, a Kappa Kappa Gamma alumnae as-
sociation.
A.J. recently visited
Annalise Bricca
in France.
Annalise has had a fantastic time living in France.
She has been there for a year now, teaching Eng-
lish to elementary school students and traveling
throughout Europe.
Tarika Cefkin
also saw Annalise briefly last
spring. Tarika writes, “I finished my master’s in
March and walked in the ceremony at the begin-
ning of June (M.A. in international and intercultural
communications with a concentration in interna-
tional human rights at the University of Denver).
I’m finishing up a joint paper on forced marriage
that will be published in a peer-reviewed journal
on human trafficking. In addition to seeing Annalise
in Paris, I traveled to London, L.A. (where I stayed
with Caitlin Bisaccio ’08), and I’m planning a trip to
Thailand for three weeks in August.”
Cameron Bruns
is another member of the
Boston SLU posse. She is a paralegal for Hagens
Berman Sobol Shapiro, a law firm that specializes
in pharmaceutical litigation. She also writes a blog
about “green” living and sustainable fashion.
Annie Massie
is living in Greenwich, Conn.,
and teaching at the Brunswick School with fellow
Laurentians
Matthew DuCharme
and Amy
Jay ’10. Farther away,
Beth Osman
is living in
Albuquerque, N.M. She works for FurstPerson, a
vendor for Sprint. They do all of the hiring for
one of the largest Sprint call centers. Beth has also
gotten into the recruiting field and will be starting
to get her MBA with a concentration in HR fairly
soon. She is hoping to make her way back to the
East Coast within the next few years.
I also heard from
Chelsie Kozera
, who has
been living in Korea with
Dorrie Douglas
.
Chelsie writes, “I’m in my second year of teaching
Pete Fitz ’09
and
Jason Johnson ’09
reached the rather dramatic summit of
Gunung Agung, at 10,308 feet the high-
est point on the Island of Bali, Indonesia,
last February. Fitz explains that the
classmates jumped at “the amazing op-
portunity to travel around Bali for three
weeks. Johnson had been working in
Australia and invited me to explore the
nearby Indonesian islands with him. I
had been living in West Hollywood, Cal.,
trying to start my career, and I fgured
it was the best time to get out of the
country and explore before I was tied
down by a full-time job. Since graduation
I’ve worked in restaurants in Boston and
as a cross-country ski coach and pedicab
driver in Jackson, Wyo., and am working
toward being a director of feature flms
(see www.swyfpictures.com).”
Johnson, Fitz writes, “has been working
for Suntrek Expeditions, leading mostly
European and Australian tourists all
around the U.S. He drives a 15-passenger
van decked out with memorabilia and
sentimental artifacts from each trip and
lugs his passengers and a large trailer
all over the country, stopping at all the
hotspots along the way. He tends to lead
around the Southwest, taking time to
gaze into the heart of the Grand Canyon
before trucking up to Las Vegas to enjoy
some of America’s more peculiar and
wild sights. He has also spent time in
Louisiana, gone up and down California
and has almost lost track of the number of
times he has driven across the country.
“Te future remains just as unclear as
it probably does for most our age,” Fitz
concludes, “but we are both enjoying our
‘perspective journeys’ post-graduation
and are hoping to plan another cool trip
abroad with more friends as soon as the
opportunity arises.”
