The news room has been abuzz with reports
coming in from up and down the East Coast.
In April, I was an eyewitness to the vibrant
birthday celebration of
Tami Couch
in New
York City. Several classmates were in atten-
dance, including
Maggie Kennedy
,
Becca
Riegelhaupt
,
Kim Myers
,
Macy Steers
and
Chris “Lloyd” Bajorin
, to name a few.
I received word from
Tabitha Ferrer
that
she has moved toWashington, D.C. to attend law
school. Ferrer started pursuing her J.D. at How-
ard University School of Law in August.
Michaela Stewart
is a new assistant director
of admissions at Emma Willard in Troy, N.Y. Mi-
chaela spent a year at Cornell as an admissions
assistant for the Cornell Institute for PublicAffairs,
where she received her MPA. She was then the
membership/scholarship funds coordinator for
theYMCA in Greenbush, N.Y.
Emily Clark
reports that she watched the
Syracuse football Orangeman take on Rhode Is-
land in September with a few friends from SUNY
Upstate Medical University, and fellow Saint David
Angeline ’07. Clark is tackling her greatest chal-
lenge thus far — medical school. A Lake Placid
native, she returned to NewYork State to pursue
a career as a physician assistant. Since graduation,
Emily has lived in Boston and Vail, Col., and calls
Syracuse, N.Y., home this year while she attends
SUNY Upstate Medical University.
Rachel Hall
,daughter of Gregory and Kathleen
Dann Hall ’77, was married to Michael Lindeman
in Buffalo, N.Y., on July 31. The traditional Scottish
wedding (complete with kilts), took place at the
First Presbyterian Church of Clarence. The wed-
ding party stopped at local favorite Mighty Taco
before heading to the regal reception, inspired by
the castles of Scotland, at the Park Country Club
inWilliamsville, N.Y. Rachel’s bridal party includ-
ed
Kelly Meisch
,
Katie Alexander
and the
groom’s sister, Margaret Lindeman ’96.
Arielle
Pastick
and
Chelsea Sauve
were also in at-
tendance.
Keep me posted with your breaking news!

REVIVED
One highlight of the Pep
Rally was a pizza roll-eating
contest.
Featured guests for the
weekend were Christian
Lopez ’10, left, and Rich
Peverley ’04. Lopez gained
renown as the person who
caught the home run that
was New York Yankees star
Derek Jeter’s 3,000th career
hit, and then returned it
to him; the former football
player was guest coach on the
sidelines for the Homecoming game. Peverley, the first Laurentian to have his
name etched on the Stanley Cup as a player, signed autographs and dropped
the ceremonial first puck at the men’s game against Union.

early 500 alumni as well as students, faculty and
staff enjoyed mild temperatures and blue skies on
the first weekend of November for the return of
Homecoming Weekend after a nearly two-decade absence.
They partook of a full schedule that included an old-
fashioned pep rally; athletic, cultural and social events; and
simply getting together with fellow Laurentians. Athletic
Hall of Fame inductions took place during the weekend; for
pictures of the inductees and more on Homecoming, see the
Sports pages and www.stlawu.edu/albums/homecoming11.
