Perfecto
It had never been done before. Softball pitcher
Kyle Plimpton ’15 threw a perfect game in a
1-0 extra-innings win over Curry College in
the second game of a doubleheader on March
12. It was the first perfect game in Saints
softball history. She also set the record for
strikeouts in a contest by fanning 20 batters
over eight innings. e Buffalo, N.Y., native’s
good day began with a save in the first game.
By the end of the season she was Liberty
League All-Conference first team and in the
top 10 in the nation in strikeouts per seven
innings and in saves. She is the daughter of
Mark ’83 and Michelle Reid Plimpton ’82;
the granddaughter of William III ’55, M’72
and Sandra Steinkuller Plimpton ’59; and
the niece of omas ’88 and Teresa Shine
Plimpton ’89.
