Construction to take a project management posi-
tion at HITT Contracting in Falls Church, Va. Con-

Jonas Hart
is working on his Ph.D. in sociology
at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He
also teaches online for the Community College of
Vermont. Jonas and wife Lili are in London for the
fall semester since she is the faculty-in-residence
for James Madison University's fall semester pro-
gram there.

Chip Haro

who lives in Fort
Worth, Texas, with Sandy and their children, Sa-
mantha, 10, and Michael, 8. He teaches third
grade and stays busy coaching both the kids' soc-
cer teams.
Daniel Jalbert
started a new job at Boston
College as assistant director of internships and
experiential learning in April 2012. During the
summer, he participated in the Shadow-a-Saint
program, in which a current student shadows
you at work for a day. He says, “We enjoyed shar-
ing past and present SLU stories!” Dan is looking
forward to attending

traveled from the four corners of the
country (literally!) to visit

and her
new baby girl, Sydney, born on March 26 ,2012.
Andrea, Sarah and Jen left their kids home. Jen
lives in San Diego with her family, including Rob-
ert, 4, and Kylie, 2. Sarah came fromSan Francisco,
where she lives with her husband, Jeff, and her
20-
month old daughter Katy. Andrea and Jason
have a daughter, Aubrey, 2. The four former quad
roommates haven’t been together since Andrea’s
wedding in August 2007!
I heard from
Patrick Sweeney
,
who lives in Bos-
ton (for over 13 years now) and is a vice president
of trading product management at Fidelity. He
and Alicia celebrated their third anniversary in
June. Pat says,“No kids yet; traveling quite a bit to
India, Ireland and Thailand. Recently reconnected
with my Phi Sig brothers for the annual Xi bowl
held on the Boston Esplanade. Life is good.”

to benefit the American Cancer Society! As of
early June, she had completed race number 25.

liamsburg, Va.! Melissa is relocating from D.C. to
Chicago in the fall; she will continue to work in

who was promoted in June to administrative

Matt Minneman
wrote to say he and Rebecca
recently celebrated their one-year anniversary.
They both work for a real estate firm that spe-
cializes in foreclosed properties in North Caro-
lina. They are planning on buying a new home in
Ruther Glen, Va.
Jamie “Jakes” Olson
is engaged to Robin Car-
gille. They live in Miami but are busy planning a
Hood River, Ore., wedding.
Len Mason
wrote to give an update on
Mike
Hamill
.
Mike, who since graduation has been
based out of Seattle, Wash., and guiding for In-
ternational Mountain Guides, recently published
Climbing the Seven Summits: A Guide to Reach
Each Continents' Highest Peak
.
Mike has climbed
the so-called Seven Summits, the highest points
on all seven continents, four times (including all
seven in one year) and found there was a lack of
logistical information on organizing this under-

Alice Walgreen Young
is entering her final year
of graduate school at Boston University to earn
a MSW with a focus on hospice care. She has a
daughter, Meredith, who recently turned 1.
Kelly Stranburg
is keeping quite busy. She
wrote, "I still live in Charlotte, N.C., where I am
the vice president of member services for Senior
Living Communities, a company that manages re-
tirement communities in the Southeast and Mid-
west. I recently had the good fortune of accept-
ing our third Best of the Best Award for Resident
Health and Wellness at the Assisted Living Fed-
eration of America conference. Work and travel
keep me very busy! My family and I continue to
heal after the unexpected loss last year of my fa-
ther, Jon Stranburg '73, and I thank the many SLU
alumni who have reached out to express their
condolences."
Stephanie Carr Goulet
shared some great
news: the birth of her first child, Maxwell Thomas
Goulet, born in January. She and husband Tom
are living in Sudbury, Mass., where she has hap-
pily adjusted to her new role as a full-time mom.
Tom is chairman and CEO of Beacon Energy Part-
ners, an oil and gas company for high-net-worth
investors.
Danielle Grant Parry-Hill
wrote in with some
great news. She was married in a small ceremony
in Florence, Italy, in April. She is working at Inno-
vis Data Solutions as a national account executive
and lives in Raleigh, N.C.
Debi Buzanowski
and husband Duncan recent-
ly welcomed their daughter, Mallory, to the world.
She joins big sister Penelope.

James M. Burnett
is still serving in the Unit-
ed States Army and is on his third deployment
in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in
Afghanistan. He completed language school for
Farsi and is working as a ground liaison between
Hamid Karzai and Marine General John Allen. His
wife, Keira, and sons Zachary, 6, and Alexander,
5,
are doing well and are moving to Tampa, Fla.,
where James will be stationed at Army Central
Command, and will continue his work with Af-
ghanistan prior to his fourth deployment, some-
time in 2014.
Melissa Logan Rotkiewicz
wrote that "Paul '98
and I are coming up on our ninth wedding an-
niversary this summer. We have three daughters:
Addison, Sophia and Ella. Life is crazy and hectic
and full of tutus, magic wands and sparkly shoes,
but I wouldn't have it any other way! We live in
Greenfield, Mass. I'm a clinical psychologist and
