Trail this Way
T
railTisWay, with a directional arrow, is prominent on
a sign at St. Lawrence’s Camp Canaras onUpper Sara-
nac Lake. Each June the Alumni Executive Council
meets at Canaras to talk about our “trail map” for the year. We
think strategically, act as a sounding board for the University on
innovative concepts and ideas and reconnect fve generations of
alumni who share a passion for St. Lawrence.
As I passed the sign this year on my way to the frst commit-
tee meeting, I paused and thought, “if only strategic planning
and innovative thinking were this simple, with a sign pointing
us in the best possible direction.” Ten again, maybe they are that simple.

most. If you’re a professional who wants to share your expertise and passion with an alumni
audience without having to travel to Canton, we want to hear from you too.
For the council, the trail leads directly to partnering with career services. Now we entice
participants to joinus. Look for invitations fromthe career services ofce throughout the year.
If you do want to participate, please respond and “accept” the invitation, which will notify the
career services ofce that you will be participating in the webinar. Te invitation will include
access information.
Te trail leads this way. Please join us on the journey of the alumni network, connecting
generations and professionals.
I welcome your feedback and ideas via my e-mail address, below, or contact Lisa Cania,
