So begins the University’s new Strate-
gic Map, a guide that sets a course for St.
Lawrence over the next decade as it works
to build on its commitment to academic ex-
cellence and a secure financial future.
Endorsed unanimously by the Board of
Trustees in October 2011, “The St. Law-
rence Promise: A Lifelong Experience of
Thoughtfulness” calls for advancing a 21st-
century curriculum with increased experi-
ential learning opportunities; expanding
admissions; engaging alumni inmore active
andmeaningful ways; improving collabora-
tion and strategic planning on campus; and
protecting and enhancing the University’s
living and learning environment.
