Lecture by the artist.  

Thursday, October 29 at 7 p.m., Carnegie 10 
Video screening of Nigerian Art: Kindred Spirits and Poetics of Line.  

Monday, November 2 at 7 p.m., Griffiths 123 
Lecture by Simon Ottenberg, emeritus professor of anthropology at the University of Washington. Ottenberg is the author of New Traditions From Nigeria: Seven Artists of the Nsukka Group, a major Smithsonian publication produced in conjunction with the exhibition at the National Museum of African Art in which the artist's work was included.  

Thursday, November 12 at 4:30 p.m. 
Gallery discussion: faculty responses to the exhibition from Roger Bailey, Elizabeth Kahn, Michael Lowe, and Betsy Rezelman.  

Thursday, November 19 at 4:30 p.m. 
Poetry reading in the gallery by the artist.  

Thursday, December 3 at 4:30 p.m.
Gallery discussion: responses to the exhibition from students in Obiora Udechukwu's classes.
